Major interest/hobby apart from biking:

I don’t do much else apart from biking…. When I’m not riding my trials bike I ride my downhill bike or my cross country bike! I quite fancy giving moto trials a go this year though. I also bought a new video camera/camera so I’m hoping to get into photography to :)

Other sports:

Climbing, moto trials, skiing, wake boarding, high diving ;)

What, in your life is most awarding:

The feeling of accomplishing goals that I have had in my mind for a long time.

What gives you energy and lets you think about other things than biking:

Red bull ;) I am a very motivated person in things that I really enjoy! I try to make sure I’m always in having a good time….

What do you do to unwind:

I listen to allot of music and I also like cooking and eating tasty food… yum :)

Best idea of having good time:

Riding by myself with new music in winter also riding with and partying with my friends. Pushing a downhill bike uphill all day in the worst weather possible to then slip and slid out of control back down…. amazing!!!!!

What makes you angry:

Fashion over function, fixing the tenth puncture in one night of riding haha

Favorite reading:

I don’t spen much time reading, I’ll do that when in old

Favorite food:

Pasta

Favorite music:

The joy formidable, Yeahsayer, Judas priest, anything that sounds good really…

Favorite movie:

Crash

What would you never throw away:

My old snapped bike frames.

Favorite place to travel to:

I love going back to my home, The Isle of Skye there on place like it!!!

What is your favorite city to visit and why:

I’m not I big city person… there are too many people in one place for my liking, but I live in one because they have good street riding… I know it’s not a city but I like Chamonix in France, it’s a cool place!

Favorite spots and resorts:

Aviemore, Scotland, Edinburgh, Lisbon

Where do you preferably spend your time off:

At home on Skye or in Edinburgh and maybe in the sun when I can…

What do you always carry with you when travelling:

An mp3 Player

If you could have dinner with 3 famous people (dead/alive) who would they be:

Giant Angus Macaskill, a distant relative that has the world record for being the tallest true giant. Billy Clonally, Maja Ivarsson from the sounds.

Biking since:

1990

What started you biking:

I just liked doing Skids and wheelies as a kid just as much as I do today :) !!!

Why do you ride:

I ride purely for myself and just for fun!! I don’t take my riding seriously but I enjoy playing around trying to learn new things….

Best part of biking:

Freedom to do anything you want to….

Hardest part:

Puncture’s haha

Weakness:

Collar bone at the moment ;)

Most important people in your life and career:

Friends, family, Dave at inspired bikes, my flat mate Dave Sowerby who filmed the last wee video

Worst moment in career:

Breaking collarbone for the third time in 5 months this year…

Best moment in career:

Riding to the end of a spiky fence with my teeth still in one peace!!

Luckiest escape:

Too many to think of just one!!

General career goals:

To ride every day and to keep my riding fresh

Most respected bikers:

Chris Ackrigg, Ruben Alcantara, Ryne Leech

Other most respected athletes:

Travis Pastrana,

Who is your biggest influence/Who do you admire:

I’m not really too sure, I find I get most of the motivation for my ride from myself. If you spend too much time trying to be like somebody else you’ll end up having the same style as a 1000 other people wanting to be like person to.

Advice to beginners:

Make sure you ride for yourself and for fun. Riding isn’t about becoming a sponsored athlete it’s about doing it because you love it!! If you spend enough time at it all the sponsorship will come..

A training week:

I usually try to ride at least 3-4 hour a day. I would never call anything to do with my riding training… Although I have been injured for a while now and need to get back to the full fitness (which I took for granted) as soon as possible, so I might set foot in a gym for the first time in my life this year….

Training “secret”:

Eating Cakes every day… yum yum

Have you any special talent:

No not really

Occupation If I was not a professional biker:

I would probably be working in a bike shop…

Motto:

Try to make the most of life
