Drew, originally a motocross rider from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada got hooked to BMX when visiting a skatepark in sixth grade. Drew progressed quickly in his hometown of Trur and this past season Bezanson won Simpel Session, the Toronto BMX Jam, and the JoMoPro.

Who is Drew Bezanson?

I would have to say a young lad who loves to ride little kids bikes.

Major interest/hobby apart from biking?

Definitely Motocross, snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and pretty much any other individual sport. Anything you can do that it doesn’t matter when it is and where it is.

What, in your life is most awarding?

The opportunity I have to travel.

What gives you energy and lets you think about other things than biking?

Sugar with a little bit of coffee usually helps, or it just makes me think of biking that much more. Ha ha.

What do you do to unwind?

I don’t just go till the point of tired then sleep.

What makes you angry:

When people pull onto the highway going like 40 when you’re behind them. A bit of road rage.

What is your favorite city to visit and why?

I would have to say Utah or Greenville. Both places are super fun to ride, have great facilities to ride and great people.

Where do you preferably spend your time off?

At home hanging out with the family and close friends.

Why do you ride?

I ride because it is an outlet for me. A way I can express myself. I can do it whenever, where ever and there is no right or wrong way to do it and I love the feeling I get from it.

What started you skiing?

I started snowboarding two years ago because I separated my shoulder and couldn’t ride my bike. Just got a pair of impact shorts and fell to my butt. Ha ha.

Weakness?

Starting so late.

Marital status?

I have a lady friend, don’t know what that is categorized in. ha ha.

Most important people in your life and career?

Start off with the people who were there from the beginning. My mother and father, family, friends, sponsors and who ever has helped me along the way. Can’t thank you guys enough!

Worst moment in career?

The times when you are injured and can’t ride.

Best moment in career?

Anytime when there is a smile on your face and your having fun.

Luckiest escape:

surviving a car accident.

General career goals?

To have fun and at the end of the day being happy.

Listen to everything, just depending on the mood I’m in

Favorite movie?

Can’t pick. Lately the blind side, Yes man, zombie land, the hang over, have all been really good.

What would you never throw away?

Memories.

What do you always carry with you when travelling?

Passport, some extra clothes and my bike.

Best idea of having good time?

Having a good time with family and friends.

Favorite place to travel to?

Haven’t been everywhere yet.

Jamie Bestwick, Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist.

Other most respected athletes?

Ricky Carmicheal and some other team sports guys ha ha.

Who is your biggest influence/Who do you admire:

My parents.

The big guy in the sky, Ricky Carmicheal and we’ll leave the 3rd spot available.

Greenville, NC. Utah. Woodward. Dayton, OH area. Home. Any place with family and friends.

Advice to beginners?

Keep it fun!

Is awesome and long as you enjoy it and have fun.

Career Highlights?

Winning the Toronto BMX jam in 2008. Winning a Playstation Pro Moment. Being given the Opportunity to live my dream.

Umm, will take down any one in a burping contest ha ha.

Will never be one, so don’t have to worry about thinking about this question.

Occupation If I was not a professional biker?

Who knows, Maybe a school teacher to make up for all the bad ones I had ha ha. Or probably some sorts of trade.
