How and when did you get in to biking?

When I did not get a motocross as I had hoped for, the next best thing was a mountainbike. I started training and racing in 1994. It took until the year 2000 before I started to race on the road, then just as a tool to be a better mtb rider. But I got stuck loving it..

What’s the best advice you ever got? Don’t eat yellow snow..

What’s the best moment in your career? Beijing Olympics

What’s the worst moment in your career? Braking my back at the worlds in Montreal 2003

What are you doing when you’re not biking? Having coffee

What gives you energy and lets you think about other things than biking? Riding my motorbike.
